SSC - CSSS


                    Staff Selection Commission (SSC) initially known as Subordinate Service Commission was set up on 1 July 1978, has been entrusted with the work of making recruitment to (i) all non- technical Group ’C’  posts. The Commission is an attached office of the Dept. of personnel & Training & comprises of a Chairman, two Members & Secretary – cum- controller of Examinations.

               The Central Secretariat has three services, namely (i) Central Secretarial Service, (ii) Central Secretarial  stenographer’s Service (CSSS) and (iii)  Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS). The Central Secretariat Service Division in the Department of Personnel and Training is the cadre controlling authority in respect of these services .
