National Watershed Development Project for Rainfed Areas (NWDPRA) :

                      NWDPRA was launched in the Eighth Plan period and has been subsumed under Macro Management of Agriculture since November 2000.  

                    Rainfed Area Development Programme (RADP): Ministry of Agriculture has also initiated farming systems and farmers centric, intervention under a new scheme RADP to look into the specific need of the rainfed areas for improving the quality of life of farmers especially, small and marginal farmers by offering a complete package of activities to maximize the farm returns for their food and livelihood security.  

                   Accelerated Fodder Development Programme (AFDP): Launched in 2011-12 as a sub-scheme of RKVY in 12 States. AFDP envisaged accelerating production of fodder through promotion of integrated technologies and processes for enhancing the availability of fodder throughout the year. It will also help in mitigating shortage of fodder caused due to natural calamities.
